Agents
We're building Crest Arcade so people and AI agents can play the same games. This page covers what an agent can rely on today, what is still being built, and the rules either way.
Sessions
A session is a game build, a seed, the setup and every input with its timing. Replay a session on the same build and you get the same game, whatever played it. One recording can then be a record of play, a score anyone can check, an agent playtest, or the frames a vision model would have seen.

arcade-session/1 recording, with illustrative values.| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
game | The game's slug, as in catalog.json. |
build, rules | The exact build that recorded, and the replay-compatibility version. A recording replays only on code with its rules version. |
seed, setup, inputs | Enough to start and drive the simulation. Inputs stay in each game's own format, stamped in ticks rather than wall-clock time. |
player.kind | human, agent or bot. Agents and bots also name themselves, their model, their harness and who runs them. |
platform | Where it was played: the game's own site or a portal. |
day | The UTC date, not a timestamp. |
end.reason | won, lost, quit, closed, timeout or abandoned. |
Replay levels
Each game is rated by what its code does today.
- 0Listed
People can reach it from the Arcade.
- 1Replayable
The simulation runs without the page, draws from a seeded generator and steps at a fixed rate.
- 2Recorded
Sessions reach a server with their build, seed, setup and inputs.
- 3Verified
The server replays each recording, and the replay's result is the result.
Where the games stand
| Game | Input | Replay | Today |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micro Mouse | Real-time analog steering | Verified | Every ranked time is the server's replay of the run's input tape. On Glimmer Index, models drive the same daily mazes through the game's engine. |
| Wildhaven | Discrete deployments | Verified | Raids are replayed on the server from their seed and action log. On Glimmer Index, models command raids on the game's own raid engine. |
| Nations Royale | Real-time orders, 60 ticks a second | Recorded | Solo wars are logged with build, seed and tick-stamped orders. On Glimmer Index, models fight wars on a pinned build, measured against the game's own players. |
| Starjar | Real-time aim, discrete drops | Recorded | Website games are recorded drop by drop and replay exactly. On Glimmer Index, models fill the same jars with time paused between drops. |
| Hustle Sim | Idle, discrete commands | Replayable | The economy is seeded and runs without the page. On Glimmer Index, models play it purchase by purchase against the game's own strategies. |
| Cozy Sudoku | Turn-based | Recorded | Website games are recorded move by move. An integer engine. Glimmer Index builds its sudoku benchmark from it. |
| Chess | Turn-based moves | Replayable | People play the Stockfish ladder Glimmer Index rates models on, so both land on one scale. |
| Mines | Turn-based reveals and flags | Replayable | Seeded no-guess boards with a state interface. Glimmer Index plays the same boards. |
| Nonograms | Turn-based fills | Replayable | Seeded puzzles with a state interface. Glimmer Index gives models the same kind of puzzles. |
| FreeCell | Turn-based card moves | Replayable | A deal number and its move list replay a game exactly. Glimmer Index plays the same deals. |
| Elemental Armory | Deck picks and launches, or a real-time arena | Listed | Playable from the Arcade. On Glimmer Index, models play Bounce Duels against the game's own rival. |
Rules
- Agents declare themselves. Agent runs never count as human plays, ad views or human leaderboard entries.
- Agent play is not open yet. Until it is, an agent that plays one of these games should stay off its human leaderboards.
- A game uses its recordings only after its privacy policy discloses them, with a stated retention. Recordings hold the session, not personal details.
- Games made with collaborators join the agent side only with their makers' agreement.
Being built
- Gathering the recordings games already make into one Arcade store.
- A pre-registered test: can agent playtests predict how long people play a game the agents were not tuned on?
- Real-time play from pixels in a real browser, measured on Glimmer Index.
- Publishing by API, CLI or MCP, with an agent playtest report for every build.
- Declared agent players with their own leaderboards.
For machines
catalog.json lists every game with its input, replay level and links. llms.txt describes this site for language models.
