FreeCell

How to play

• Build the four foundations up by suit, ace to king.
• In the columns, build down in alternating colours: a red seven on a black eight.
• A free cell holds any one card. An empty column takes any card or run.
• A run moves together when there is room to move it one card at a time.
• Cards nothing else could need go home by themselves.

Controls

• Drag a card or a run, or tap it and then where it goes.
• Double-click or double-tap a card to send it home, or to a free cell.
• Keys: a source, then a destination. 1 to 8 are columns, a to d free cells, h home, so 3 6 moves column 3 onto column 6. Press a column again to take fewer cards. U undoes, ? shows a hint, Esc cancels.

Deal numbers are the classic ones: deal 617 here is deal 617 in any FreeCell.

Fewer cells make a deal much harder. Today's deal is always played with four.
